The collection “[RE]used Imagination” is for the season Spring/ Summer 2019. It is aimed for a young woman who cares about the protection of the environment. She is sensitive on sustainability issues in the fashion industry and she avoids overconsumption. This collection was inspired by one of the chapters in my research dissertation about the textile waste strategy, known as “The strategy of the 3R’s (Reuse, Repair, Recycle)”. For the design and the production of the garments I studied the first two strategies. More specifically, how a garment made of denim can be reused and repaired in order to create a brand new garment avoiding at the same time textile and energy waste. Usually denim garments, are made of pieces. Therefore it’s easy to reconstruct them and add these pieces to other clothes or even create new ones. That is the logic of [RE]used Imagination.
